Lebanon crisis talks on in Doha

Lebanon’s rival political leaders are in Qatar for talks aimed at ending the sectarian feud which left at least 65 people dead in recent days.

 

Inside Story asks why Lebanese leaders always turn to outside mediation to break their deadlock and if it is due to pervasive external influence in Lebanese affairs.

 

Can these outside forces work as a catalyst or a stand as a hurdle to reaching an agreement?
