What is behind the food crisis?

While discussing the the global food crisis, either the high prices or low stocks of staple foods are mentioned.

 

But there is another reason which goes right to the core of the whole issue – food consumption.

 

There has been a bit of finger-pointing recently over just who is to blame for the food crisis and what is really driving the consumption and the prices up so dramatically. This is what we debate with our guests.
