Japan navy chief sacked
Dismissal follows fatal collision between a Japanese warship and a fishing boat.

As part of the measures, Shigeru Ishiba, the Japanese defence minister, said he would take a two-month pay cut.
“We deeply apologise to the people. We will promptly and continually carry out effective measures to prevent a recurrence,” Ishiba told reporters as he announced the punishments.
The move does not hand out punishment to any of the sailors aboard the Atago as the investigation into the accident is still ongoing.
