Suicide blast hits Iraqi province
Up to 12 people are killed in attack on police recruitment centre.

Neighbourhood patrols have assisted US forces to confront al-Qaeda fighters, one of the tactics Washington says has led to a 60 per cent decrease in attacks in Iraq since June.
But the patrols have increasingly been targeted by fighters, especially in provinces north of Baghdad, where US commanders say al-Qaeda has regrouped after being pushed out of other parts of Iraq.
