A third pilot survived the crash on Tuesday, which ocurred at 9.15am (0615 GMT) in a place that was not disclosed, an army spokesman said in Amman.
The spokesman would not say whether the third pilot managed to eject from his stricken aircraft, and whether he was an instructor.
The two planes were Kasa trainers built in Spain, the spokesman said.
The cause of the collision was under investigation.
The state Petra news agency, quoting an unnamed army spokesman, said the two aircraft were on a “training mission”, but provided no other details.
