Egypt newlyweds’ failed jail tryst
The path of love is running far from smoothly for a pair of Egyptian newlyweds.

The fresh bride has been arrested for buying drugs in a last but failed attempt to share a cell with her husband, who has been sentenced to six years inside for drug trafficking.
Muna Muhammad Husayn, 30, who had only been married a week to Gad Abd al-Hamid Ibrahim before police picked him up in the southern city of Qena, at first believed he was innocent and hired lawyers to defend him, police said.
After he was sentenced, her affection undimmed, she decided to follow him to prison, they added. She bought drugs and had a third person inform on her to the police, who arrested her after raiding her home.
Husband and wife succeeded in getting locked up in the same prison in Qena, but not in the same cell, police said.
