More than 10,000 workers built the structures in just 15 days, using 180,000 cubic metres of ice and 150,000 cubic metres of snow.
The display includes replicas of architecture from around the world, like Rome(***)s Colosseum.
Organisers said more than a million people are expected to attend this year(***)s festival.
Activities include a sculpture contest, an ice swimming contest, and an ice and snow business seminar.
More than 700 enthusiasts braved icy waters for the swimming competition.

The festival usually lasts for more than a month, but that depends on the weather and temperature.
