Snow blankets parts of Europe
A few days before summer starts, much of the continent is still in winter’s grip.
Despite the fact that summer is only days away, the temperatures are still very disappointing across many parts of Europe.

Over the past few days snow has fallen across southern Germany, France, Switzerland and Italy.

In the mountains temperatures have dropped below zero, and the snow even fell at lower levels.
On 24 May 2013, temperatures in Churwalden struggled to reach 3C. On the same day last year, temperatures soared to 20C.
The 19th stage of the Giro d(***)Italia cycling race was cancelled due to snowfall.
It(***)s not only the cows who are confused at the weather, the plants don(***)t know what to make of it either!
The weather is expected to stay cool and unsettled over many parts of Europe over the next few days.

Despite the temperature, if you wrap up warm, it(***)s still a beautiful day for a walk.
