In Pictures: Champions League quarter-finals

Results from the first leg of the Champions League quarter-finals.

Paris St Germain v Barcelona - UEFA Champions League Quarter Final
Two of the most famous faces in football met in the Champions League quarter-final between PSG and Barcelona. Beckham started for PSG and put in a strong performance, Messi did what he does best - scoring his 57th goal of the season at the Parc des Princes stadium.

Paris St Germain''s Ibrahimovic celebrates with Matuidi after scoring against Barcelona during their Champions League quarter-final first leg soccer match at the Parc des Princes Stadium in Paris
But there was another superstar on the pitch determined not to be overshadowed by football(***)s two media darlings. Zlatan Ibrahimovic made a goal and scored one as PSG battled back to a 2-2 draw. Now there is all to play for in the second leg and what a leg it should be... Better than a roast leg of lamb!

Thomas Mueller of Bayern Munich celebrates his goal against Juventus during their Champions League quarter-final first leg match in Munich
Thomas Mueller celebrates scoring Bayern Munich(***)s second against Juventus in their first-leg tie. The opener for Bayern came inside 30 seconds (speedy indeedy) when David Alaba(***)s 35-yard shot deflected past Gianluigi Buffon in goal.

The team mascot - Berni the bear - had plenty to celebrate after the 2-0 victory especially with Bayern in impressive form. They currently lead the German league by 20 points and that(***)s before Pep Guardiola takes over next year. Fun times for Bayern!
FBL-EUR-C1-MALAGA-DORTMUND
On to Wednesday(***)s action and the star for Malaga was goalkeeper Willy Caballero who kept Borussia Dortmund out for 90 minutes. Impressive stuff considering the firepower of Dortmund strikers Mario Goetze and Robert Lewandowski... But where there(***)s a Willy, there(***)s a way.

Malaga potentially have the teeny tiniest advantage in the return leg, well, if they can score away at Dortmund. Coach Manuel Pellegrini has worked wonders with the improving team who are yet to lose at their La Rosaleda Stadium in their first appearance at the competition.
FBL-EUR-C1-REALMADRID-GALATASARAY
Another star-studded bash was hosted at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium as Real Madrid entertained Galatasaray. The biggest of them all, arguably, was Cristiano Ronaldo (L) who fired in the opener as Real made light work of their opponents in the first-leg.

The match also saw Galatasaray striker Didier Drogba (C) come up against old task master Jose Mourinho. However, the Real Madrid manager ended the match perkier with his team smashing three past the Turkish outfit. Drogba and co now need a miracle (a much loved and overused football cliche) if they are to qualify for the semi-finals.
