While winter keeps a tight grip to the north, the southern US enters severe weather season

Severe thunderstorms rumbled across the southeastern US earlier this week briging with it up to golf ball sized hail.

Spring across portions of the US is also known for the havoc the weather can play. Cold dry air from the north meeting up with warm moist air from the south are the prime ingredients to set off storms with tornadoes, hail and damaging winds.
