Al Jazeera looks at the top contenders for the green jacket at Augusta this year.

The Masters - Preview Day 3
Woods has won the Masters four times, in 1997, (***)01, (***)02 and (***)05. The world number one finished in joint 40th place at Augusta last year and will be looking to do much better as he chases Jack Nicklaus record of 18 major titles.

The Masters - Preview Day 2
This is Lee Westwood(***)s 14th time at the Masters and his 60th major tournament. Westwood has never won a major; his best finish at Augusta was second in 2010 when he missed out to Phil Mickleson.

Rory McIlroy arrives at Augusta searching for the third major win of his career, the world number two has played at the Masters four times and will be looking to do considerably better than his best finish of joint 15th in 2011.

Favoured by many, one of England(***)s best golfing talents Justin Rose seeks to be the first Englishman since Nick Faldo in 1996 to win a major. The world number three(***)s best finish at Augusta came in 2007 when he finished joint fifth.
Phil Mickleson
Three times a Masters winner, Phil Mickleson last won the title in 2010 and finished joint third at last year’s tournament. To stay fresh (***)Lefty(***) broke his usual routine this year and travelled straight to Augusta, rather than competing in the Texas Open.
World Golf Championships-Cadillac Championship - Final Round
This is Louis Oosthuizen(***)s fifth appearance at Augusta; the South African 2010 Open winner looked sure to win last year(***)s tournament but was denied in a play-off with Bubba Watson. Last year(***)s second place finish is the South African(***)s best placing at the Masters. 
Shell Houston Open - Round Two
Keegan Bradley is playing for the green jacket for only his second time - he finished 27th last year, but is no stranger to successfully competing on the big stage. The American won the PGA Championship in 2011 on his first ever appearance at the tournament.

Northern Trust Open - Round Two
South African Charles Schwartzel won a green jacket in 2011 on his second appearance at Augusta. His win in 2011 remains his sole major victory, the world number 15 finished a disappointing 50th last year.
The Masters - Preview Day 1
Bubba Watson(***)s dramatic comeback last year ensured he recorded his first Masters victory. The American appeared emotional in a press conference before his fifth appearance at Augusta, but will have to be at his composed best if he is to successfully defend his title.
