Worst March snowfall in decades

A snow plows clears the E75 motorway, nearby Gyor, Hungary. Large parts of Hungary had to deal with crippling snow, causing major transport problems and leaving thousands without electricity.

For Albania it wan''t the snow, but the flooding

This man had to transport food for his cows by boat. Flooding in north and southern Albania has blocked roads, toppled a bridge and forced dozens of villagers to evacuate their homes.

Members of the Kosovo Security Force rescued this woman whose house had been flooded. In another instance a 10 year old girl drowned when a river burst its banks in heavy rain.

Only a few Ukrainians walked the empty street. Snow and temperatures to -15 Celsius plagued the region for 3 days.

People struggled against wind and drifting snow in the Belarus capital Minsk.
