Many polling experts believe that Michelle Bachelet, who was president from 2006-2010, will win the election.
Bachelet has promised to pursue an agressive anti-austerity agenda.
Despite decades of economic growth, many feel that the country(***)s wealth are in the hands of a few.
Members of the Communist Party Proletarian Action are boycotting the upcoming presidential elections.
Although polls show Bachelet in the lead, the eight other candidates might force a runoff election.

For the first time, voting is now voluntary. In addition, Chileans across the world are able to vote via absentee ballots.
