Four days after violent thunderstorms hit the USA millions are still without power, as residents struggle to cope with the unrelenting heat.
The hot weather and lack of power forced Janet and Leonard Childress to take shelter at Sandusky Middle School in Lynchburg, Virginia. Janet smiles as an aid worker hands her a Mickey Mouse toy.
