It is the third year that students will attend classes under an Israeli-imposed siege
Because of the shortages, pupils have been exempted from wearing uniforms this semester
Nearly 300 schools were damaged or destroyed during Israel's war on the territory last December and January
Many UN schools were converted into refugee shelters during the war

None of those schools have been properly rebuilt or repaired, according to the UN
But despite the difficulties, many of the students remain upbeat and eager to learn
