Church of England appoints first female bishop

The Church of England has ordained its first female bishop on Monday. Reverand Libby Lane became the eighth Bishop of Stockport in a sevice at York Minster.

Here consecration came after the church ended a long and divisive dispute by voting last year year to allow women to serve as bishops.
