Preserving Nicaragua’s artistic history

Artists are trying to teach children the importance of the country’s mural art in telling its sad history.

Nicaragua is known for its Spanish architecture, and its public murals telling of a people escaping colonial oppression.

These days, few artists undertake such grand schemes, but children in the city of Leon are being taught to keep the mural tradition alive.
