Rome celebrates emperor Augustus’ life
The Italian city of Rome commemorates the life of its first Emperor 2,000 years since his demise.

It has been 2,000 years since the death of Augustus, the first Emperor of Rome.
The city hosts a number of events to commemorate his life, and opens Italian archaelogical sites which are usually closed off.
