US musicians strike a chord with mentally ill

The Me-2 orchestra, set up by a conductor with bipolar disorder, brings harmony to mentally ill musicians.

Setting a new tone in helping musicians with mental illness, an orchestra in the US state of Vermont is seeking to strike a chord within the community.

Assembled by a conductor whose bipolar disorder was diagnosed at a young age – the Me-2 group offers musicians such as him a harmonious place to practice and perform.
