High-wire boost to UK circus school’s status

Upgrade for circus industry with performers now able to earn degrees at London venue recognised as centre of excellence.

Britain’s government is giving tightrope walkers and trapeze artists the same recognition as actors and musicians.

school dedicated to teaching circus skills has been recognised as a centre of excellence and renamed the National Centre for Circus Arts.

It is all part of a campaign to keep performers from leaving the UK.
