A much-hyped Bavarian State Orchestra concert has taken place in Indian-administered Kashmir.
The concert took place on Saturday in one of the world’s most volatile places, and was supposed to bring the community together. Instead, it drew anger from pro-independence leaders who said such events undermine the disputed nature of Kashmir.
The event has turned into a political storm, and the management of the orchestra itself has accused organisers of “hijacking” the event.
