Haiti’s president defends record

Many sceptical about Michel Martelly’s assertions of progress as he celebrates his second anniversary in office.

Haitian President Michel Martelly has been celebrating his second anniversary in office. But the former pop singer is also defending his record on creating jobs and building free schools in the poorest country in the western hemisphere.

Martelly is up against some serious challenges as none of his promises have been realised in two years.
