EU sound limit aims to prevent hearing loss

Music players and mobile phones to show maximum decibel level to protect regular listeners of loud music.

The European Union estimates that five to 10 percent of personal-music-player users could develop permanent hearing loss if they listened at high volume for more than an hour a day.

So from now on, all devices will have a volume limiter fitted, but it might already be too late for some.

Al Jazeera’s Jessica Baldwin reports from London.
