Uproar over Thai TV show cancellation

Many suspect popular soap opera was pulled from air after its content became too sensitive for the government.

A television channel’s decision to cancel a popular soap opera has sparked a public uproar in Thailand.

Channel 3 says they cancelled the final episode of the show because it was too violent.

But many suspect that Nua Mek, a drama show that revolved around black magic and corrupt politicians, was pulled from air due to political interference after the content became too sensitive for the government.
