India orders probe of militia leader’s murder

The late Brahmeshwar Singh was suspected of being involved in killings of hundreds of Indians.

Authorities in eastern India have ordered an investigation into the killing of a senior political figure.

Brahmeshwar Singh, 67, was the head of a banned militia group that targeted Hindus from the lowest caste.

Singh is believed to have been involved in the murder of more than 300 people.
