‘Sorry situation’ for Sepp Blatter

Following Al Jazeera’s interview with FIFA president Sepp Blatter, the most powerful man in football has apologised for his ill-judged comments.

David Beckham has joined many leading figures in the UK by speaking out against the Swiss president, describing his comments on racism as “appalling”. 

As Blatter is hit by a wave of criticism, South African official Tokyo Sexwale – a man dragged into the saga – has stood up for the president.
