Sarah Palin visits Haiti

Some Haitians say potential 2012 US presidential candidate is exploiting country’s suffering for personal politics.

As Haiti’s electoral council invites its feuding presidential candidates to appeal the results of the disputed election, Sarah Palin is finishing up her two-day tour of the country.

The former governor of Alaska and potential 2012 US presidential candidate visited cholera clinics and shelters built for earthquake survivors as a guest of a christian relief charity.

But some Haitian activists are furious about her trip – accusing Palin of exploiting the country’s suffering for her own personal political gain.
