While some US political ads tout virtues, many more have focused on opponents’ flaws.

Much of the estimated $3.5 billion spent on this US midterm election campaign has been spent on TV and radio advertisements.

While some of the ads tout candidates’ virtues, many more have focused on the flaws of their opponents — whether real, exaggerated or downright false.

Al Jazeera’s Tom Ackerman has watched hundreds of them and brings us some of the good, bad, ugly – and funny.
