One year on: Kenya’s Westgate mall attack

Sunday marks one year since al-Shabab fighters laid siege to the Westgate shopping mall in Nairobi, killing 67.

It has been a year since gunmen attacked the Westgate shopping mall in Nairobi, which resulted in at least 67 deaths.

Al-Shabab claimed responsibility for the mall shooting and several other attacks in the country.

Since then, there have been several other attacks in parts of the country, including churches and public places.

Now, many Kenyans are concerned for their safety.
