Tunisia street vendors face uncertain future

With almost a quarter of the population out of work, illegal street stalls have become a lifeline for many families.

Since the revolution in Tunisia, informal trade has increased now making up almost half of the country’s economy.

With almost a quarter of the population out of work, illegal street stalls have become a lifeline for many families. 

The government is trying to regulate the sector, making the vendors pay taxes.
