Venezuela moves squatters from slum tower

Some residents denounce government decision to relocate thousands from half-built skyscraper they have used for years.

Venezuela’s government has started relocating thousands of squatters from a half-built skyscraper in the capital, Caracas.

The tower, which was abandoned by developers in 1994, has been a communal residential area for many people for years.

Al Jazeera’s Lucia Newman reports from Caracus on how some residents do not want to leave it because they see it as a haven.
