Ironman triathlon is one of the toughest sports in the world.
The competitors take on a 4km swim, 180km on the bike and then run a marathon.
Saturday sees Britain’s elite attempting to qualify for October’s famous Hawaiian Ironman. And For one competitor – John McAvoy – there’s extra motivation.
