Honduras arrests alleged drug cartel leaders

Brothers described as leaders of the Los Valles cartel face extradition to the US.

Police in Honduras have arrested two alleged leaders of the Los Valles drug cartel, a gang blamed for murdering hundreds of people to protect its cocaine smuggling business.

Most of the 7,000 murders in Honduras in 2013 were connected to the cocaine trade.

The brothers are also wanted in the United States, and may face extradition.
