South Africans strike over low wages
Tens of thousands of workers from various industries protest as mining company plans job cuts.

Tens of thousands of South African workers in construction, car manufacturing and the airline industry are on strike for higher wages.
But for many miners at Anglo American Platinum, the effect of last year’s strikes is now being felt as the mining giant pushes ahead with plans for job cuts.
