Colombia braces for anti-government strikes
Nationwide labour-union protests expected against alleged state failure to reduce poverty and inequality.

Farmers, lorry drivers, healthcare workers and other labour unions are preparing to launch the first national strike in Colombia in years. Thousands are set to take to the streets in at least 19 cities across the country over the government’s alleged failure to reduce poverty and social inequality among other problems. Al Jazeera’s Teresa Bo reports from Sumapaz.
