Spaniards look to Germany for jobs

As unemployment grows in weaker European economies, thousands of people make moves towards Germany.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel is hosting a meeting on integrating immigrants, something that is becoming more of an issue as workers from poorer eurozone countries seek their fortunes abroad.

Even though many Spaniards blame Merkel for the austerity measures that made so many people unemployed in their country, more and more of them are moving to Germany for work.

The latest statistics from 2012 show that almost 30,000 Spaniards moved to Germany, an increase of more than 40 percent over the previous year.
