British shopping spree boosts economy
Despite recent bad weather, local and international shoppers flock to London’s famous stores.

The UK is on track to become Europe’s largest economic powerhouse within two decades.
The Centre for Economics and Business Research estimates Britain will overtake France by 2018, and Germany by 2030.
Retail is seen as one of the driving forces for that expansion, and early indications point to Britain having a Boxing Day spending spree.
