Shops grapple with France’s strict laws

Many retailers and shoppers say it is time to relax trading laws and allow shops to stay open longer on Sundays.

A growing number of retailers and shoppers in France are pushing for stores to stay open for longer on Sundays. And as the country continues to struggle with record unemployment and stagnating economic growth, many now say it is time to relax strict trading laws and keep shops open.
