Taking their anger to the streets, Spanish government workers demonstrated in Madrid a day after tens of thousands of people protested across the country.
Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy’s government plans to introduce new taxes and cut public sector wages as part of a drive to slash the country’s budget deficit.
But the protesters feel the austerity measures are only making things worse.
