Nigeria business slumps after attacks

Traders say business has dropped drastically as shoppers are afraid to come to Kano.

Business in northern Nigeria’s largest commercial centre has slowed drastically following Boko Haram attacks.

More than 200 people have been killed in Kano since January forcing many thousands of others to flee.

Traders say fewer people from other parts of Nigeria and neighbouring countries are coming to make bulk purchases at the city’s markets due to the insecurity.

Al Jazeera’s Mohammed Adow reports from Kano.
