Hybrid cars losing steam in US
Study shows most petrol-electric vehicle owners would rather return to traditional cars due to high maintenance costs.

Despite soaring petrol prices, most US residents are trading in fuel-saving hybrid cars and returning to vehicles with traditional engines.
New research shows that some 65 per cent of hybrid car owners would not choose to buy another one, with many buyers saying that petrol-electric cars are far too expensive to maintain.
