Germany and China look to spur growth

Leaders meet at the Hannover Industrial Fair as both industrial giants look to forge closer ties than ever.


The global financial crisis is not over – and the recovery so far is difficult and tortuous.

This is the gloomy assessment of China’s Premier Wen Jiabao, speaking during a visit to Germany.

He has been meeting Chancellor Angela Merkel – as the world’s two biggest exporters look at ways to spur growth.
