Dadaab Refugee Camp

The medical aid agency Medicins Sans Frontiers has warned that the humanitarian crisis in the Dadaab refugee camp remains dire, more than six months after donors poured money and aid into the camp. Dadaab is the world’s biggest refugee settlement, with almost half a million Somalis living in the desert in neighbouring Kenya. But late last year two aid workers were abducted and several Kenyan officials murdered, forcing them to scale back the operation. Our East Africa Correspondent, Peter Greste, is the first journalist to visit the camp since the security crisis began last October.
