Maldives envoy to UN ‘resigns’

Maldives’ ambassador to the UN has said he will resign from his post on Al Jazeera’s programme ‘The Stream’.
Abdul Gafoor Mohamed said he is quitting in protest over the alleged coup that toppled the country’s first democratically-elected president, Mohamed Nasheed.
