India-Australia ties grow amid uranium talks

Australia PM’s visit to New Delhi aimed at sale of nuclear fuel is a sign of improved relations.

The Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard has visited the Indian capital New Delhi for talks on the sale of uranium to India, which has a growing appetite for nuclear power.

Gillard’s visit is also a signal of the increasingly close relationship between the two countries.

The number of Indian migrants in Australia has surpassed expatriates from both China and and the UK.
