Alabama town battles high unemployment rate
Many in southern US state hit by poverty and harsh economic conditions, with African-Americans hardest hit.

US politicians seem unable to agree on how to kickstart the economy and deal with the country’s persistently high unemployment rate.
It has been above nine per cent for 26 of the last 28 months, and is at 16.7 per cent for African-Americans.
In some parts of the US, it is even higher.
Al Jazeera’s Andy Gallacher travelled to the town of Camden, Alabama, which has one the highest rates in the country.
