Food price rise worries Mexico

Issue could become deciding factor in the next election as more and more citizens are driven into poverty.

The World Bank says rising food prices have driven an estimated 44 million more people into poverty in the last two years.

In Mexico the government, which is waging a war on drug-related crime, has been criticised for not doing enough to help those who are most economically vulnerable.
