Sarah Palin, the high-profile Republican, has started a tour of US states on the back of a Harley Davidson motorcycle.
The Tea Party favourite joined bikers in Washington DC to commemorate US war veterans.
And as Al Jazeera’s John Terrett reports, it has also fuelled speculation about a Republican presidential bid.
