Japanese Olympic Committee vice president Masato Mizuno says country will go ahead with bid despite tsunami devastation.

Al Jazeera’s Joanna Gasiorowska speaks to Masato Mizuno, the vice-president of the Japanese Olympic Committee, as he states that the country will go ahead with a bid for the Olympic Games in 2020 despite the devastation caused by the earthquake and tsunami.

Mizuno – who is also the chairman of the Mizuno sports corporation – said that an Olympic bid could be the catalyst for reconstruction in Japan, which is expected to cost as much as $300 billion.
