Debate over future of deserted Palestinian village
Court to decide whether town will be preserved or developed into luxury housing.

In the outskirts of Jerusalem, the village of Lifta is the last deserted Palestinian village still standing in modern day Israel.
The village is now in the midst of a legal battle. A Jerusalem district court will decide whether Lifta should be preserved as a historical site or developed into luxury housing.
Israeli and Palestinian activists are petitioning the potential development by petitioning the court.
Nisreen El-Shamayle reports from the outskirts of Jerusalem.
